The Mole Web Page

Monument Mountain Regional High School

This project was able to come to fruition through a generous grant from the Berkshire Hills Technology Foundation.  This organization funded 25 teacher projects ranging from grade k-12.  Winning grant authors received a lap top and the budget to complete the described projects.  Ten sessions of professional development were included as part of the grant package.

During the spring of 2001 chemistry students , primarily juniors,  formed a group to complete this web page design project including conducting interviews with chemists working within our community.   The format of this web page is a news paper  design.  Link to "entertainment" and read mole movie reviews.  Link to "obituaries"  and read the life and times of scientists  who contributed to atomic theory and the mole.  Link to the crossword puzzle and test your chemistry vocabulary.

Some inspirational web locations my students and I found are:
thinkquest
National Mole Day Foundation

Biographies of the main participants are available at the web page they created.
